Janna has more than 20 years of experience in landscape architecture and design.

She graduated from #1 architectural school in Russia with an award-winning final theses project. Janna has strong knowledge of structural physics, 3-D geometry, ergonomic, color, and intensive training in drawing, drafting and painting.  She has learned deeply European and Asian architectural and landscape traditions, style, and philosophies.

Janna started her career in Moscow working in a close collaboration with concrete, wood and metal manufacturers and landscape contractors, and was responsible for aesthetic parts of landscape structures and their placing within the landscape.  She then worked as an independent landscape architect managing all stages of design of numerous urban and suburban landscape projects in Moscow in vicinities, residential, commercial and public .  Janna has also participated in several big projects in other Russian cities on the level of master-plan development. 

A resident of Charlottesville, VA since 2003, she rounded out her education with horticulture and CAD courses at PVCC and gained local experience working with Albiston Associates, Ian Robertson Ltd, and other landscape specialists.  In 2007, Janna worked with Nelson Birds Woltz as a consultant on an overseas project.  She joined KWLS in 2013 as a creative team member, comfortable with design tasks of any scale from master-plan concepts to hardware details; Especially strong in 3-D modeling, perspective renderings, and grading design and an expert in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
